A Birthday Puzzle

On what day of the year do the most people celebrate their birthday?

For the answer, see here.

Assuming the births are uniformly distributed (a dangerous assumption, though) then it is either February 28th or March 1st, since roughly 3/4 of the time people born on a leap year Feb 29th must celebrate their birthday on one of those days.

So I'm guessing it is today, based on the hunch of people wanting to PARTY HARD earlier rather than later.

(One of my best friends is born on Feb 29th.)

This one would have the edge 3 years out of 4, all else being equal. And my guess is all else is equal enough to make it the winner. And I somehow suspect you didn't happen to make the post today just by coincidence...

Uniform birthdays? Not so much.

About 3/4 of the Feb 29th b'days would have to celebrate today to overcome the bias toward August 15 present in that data.
