On Being Twice a Square

The last time my age was twice a square, I got married.

The time before that, I became of legal age.

This time around, my wife Anna decorated a finite automaton cake to celebrate. I shared it with my 4th year class on formal languages and parsing.

  3. A while back I said to my then partner: “I just realized that I was born in a square year!” He responded, “I realized that shortly after meeting you.”

  4. I like the odd implication for all mathematicians if you moved the acceptor state to the other circle :-)

  6. Nice. Happy birthday. I don't seem to remember ever getting cake when I took your formal languages class, but I suppose your prime number birthdays are not quite as special.
