Monty Hall is out

A pleasant surprise arrived in the mail today: Jason Rosenhouse's new book, The Monty Hall Problem. I read a first draft of the book and found it excellent.

Alf van der Poorten says that the definition of a good book is that it mentions you. Under that criterion, this is a very good book indeed, as I appear on the back cover, giving the book an endorsement.

I recommend this book to anyone interested in probability.

I went to Amazon.com to see if I could find a picture of the back cover, with your blurb on it. Unfortunately, the back cover was not one of the available images.

Since I was there, I clicked the "Surprise Me!" button for a random page. The page I got was "This page intentionally left blank." So it seems that door number two has a goat behind it.

Thanks for the mention! And double thanks for the blurb. The official release date for the book is June 4, but the book can be advance ordered.

I tried the Surprise Me button and got a few pages from the middle of the book. So give it another try!
