More Quality Reporting at Uncommon Descent

Sneery O'Leary, the World's Worst Journalist™, spends most of her blog space attacking scientists and reporters more talented than she is.

But would a New York Times reporter be so foolish as to confuse Massimo Pigliucci with Massimo Piatelli-Palmarini?

Probably not. But Sneery is.

Screenshot, for when it gets dumped down the ever-growing Uncommon Descent memory hole:

  1. Aw, give her a break, Jeff. It's those Italian names. It's a mistake anyone could've made, right?

  3. So where is the confusion? The article she links to is in the blog Rationally Speaking, and the blgo states that Massimo Pigliucci is the author, just as O'Leary says, and just as your screenshot shows.

Where does Massimo Piatelli-Palmarini come into it?

  7. Might as well delete my last comment since it refers to a deleted comment.
But then you'd have to delete this one, too, or the same reason. Hmmm, recursivity!

  8. Now come on, they look superficially a bit similar.

And that's all that it takes for an IDiot confirmation. Ah ha, it's functional, so it looks designed.

It's all in line with IDiot "science."
