I'm from here, but I never heard anyone mention anything about a Little Ab.
The "Little Abitibi", a river in Northern Ontario, famous now for its hydroelectric plant.
Went up there a couple of summers ago, just to see the places my late father used to talk about (he worked for Hydro, and often went on field trips to stations along the Abitibi).
Fortunately, we went in August, which is after blackfly season.
