Those Clowns

Wow. The nasty and untalented hip-hoppers Insane Clown Posse turn out to be moronic, lying Christian evangelists. Who would have guessed?

I wonder if Premise Media wants to make a documentary about them.

I can't imagine too many Christians being impressed by them, either.

This line from the article is very telling:

"But since then, scientists go, 'I've got an explanation for that.' It's like, fuck you! I like to believe it was something out of this world."

So there you have it. Insane Christian Posse hates science because it has the nerve to explain things and ruin their ability to run with made up shit.

Sounds more like they're moronic, lying folks pretending to be Christian evangelists, trying to pull one over on everyone.

Is there evidence out there either way?

To whatever extent these guys are sincere, I wonder if they would be impressed by the argument that at the heart of science is uncertainty. Whatever science is able to explain, there is always a mystery at its core. For those scientists who don't believe in a god, it is only because the explanation offered by religion is too simple, too easy. One thing that made me sad about this song is that the childlike wonder about everyday things is beautiful. We *should* be amazed by the things around us, including everything from rainbows to magnets. Why be afraid of these wonders though? What makes me sad, I guess, is how close this song comes to genuinely being profound.

What men are poets who may speak of Jupiter if he is a man, but if he is an immense spinning sphere of methane and ammonia must be silent?

Whats the point of you posting thi article? It says nothing about true Christians or Atheists? Are you trying to justify your moral position? Did it make you feel better about denying God? Hmmmmm. It really tells more about yourself linking an article like this on your blog more than anything else.

What is the point of posting your comment? Did it make you feel better about yourself for believing things for which there is no evidence? Really, it tells more about yourself for leaving such a comment.

But seriously: this is my blog, and I write about what interests me. If you don't find the articles interesting, spare me the amateur psychologizing and go somewhere else.
